About Me

Portrait of Daniel Rammer

Hi, I’m Daniel, a versatile software development and research professional with broad experience in robotics and interactive technologies. After several years working primarily in robotics, I chose to pursue a university degree at 25, where I developed a strong interest in game development and interactive systems. This interest led to numerous side and student projects and ultimately opened the door to my work at the Ars Electronica Futurelab.

From 2018 until the end of 2025 I was working at the Futurelab in a series of developer and leadership roles. As Lead Developer and Researcher, I worked on national and international projects, led software architecture and development for an educational initiative, and contributed to R&D in human–machine collaboration, swarm robotics, robotics, and extended reality. My responsibilities also included project conception, hardware planning, and close collaboration with partners from research, the arts, science, and industry. I delivered workshops, presentations, and demonstrations, including at the annual Ars Electronica Festival.

Across these experiences, I have built a reputation for technical leadership, interdisciplinary thinking, and the ability to drive unconventional, high-impact projects from concept to completion.
